I've used this tele-converter with Sigma 150 mm Macro lens for taking macro shots (no tubes used). I decided to go for 2X instead of 1.4X as I thought the reach would be better. The sigma 150 mm is a very sharp lens and I've taken some fantastic macro shots with it. When I use the 2x TC, the image quality suffers. The pictures are never sharp even in bright sunlight and very high shutter speed, most pictures turn out to be blurry. The autofocus works sometimes but it didn't work for me most of the time.. I would not recommend it.
