This handy step-down converter allows you to use the many 28mm mount converter lenses available from Nikon, such as the FC-E8 Fisheye Lens, the WC-E67 Wide-Angle Lens, TC-E2 2X Teleconverter Lens and the TC-E3ED 3X Teleconverter Lens. It also allows you to use 28mm filters, which will not block the optical viewfinder and are easier to carry. Such filters include the Nikon 4-filter set containing UV, Circular Polarizer, ND4 and ND8 filters, all essential in digital photography. And used alone, it's an excellent protector for the pop-out lens during involved photo sessions. Add the UR-E7 Conversion Adapter to it, and you can use 46mm filters, including the Cokin filter adapter for spectacular creative effects.

What can you really say about a product developed by Nikon for their Coolpix P5000 and P5100 cameras? Obviously, if you are going to buy the Nikon lenses (wide angle and teleconverter), you need this. It does what it is expected to do for the cameras it is intended to be used for.
