Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R2PKWVTBUSDSBJ I guess I am the unlucky one, I purchased the Flip Mino for almost a year. I used it to video my kids and it worked great. Recently, I used it again last weekend and found out that there was a light black dot on the video when I either view or recording. It look like the sensor is dirty. I emailed Flip Support for help and of course after 90 days, they wont replace the defective unit. They do offer the repair the unit but I figure it will cost more than the unit itseft if I purchase a new one. The image when you use the Zoom it is not turned out that great either. The Flip Mino does not has the under watercase like the Flip Ultra. I attached the video I recorded for you to see. From my experience, I gave 1 star for the Flip Mino. It is expensive unit and it wont last more than a year.

Needed a light-weight camcorder to carry round during my travels. Incredibly easy to use, software almost Mac-like in ease of installation and use (and also unnecessary as iphoto recognizes the FlipMino and you can edit the videos using iMovie). I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the video and also in the stability of the shots...being such a small device, the shot doesnt bounce around as much as you'd think! Only negatives so far: 1) the battery seems to take an awfully long time to fully charge. 2) The email component of the software doesnt seem to work too smoothly Over all, excellent little device!

Bought the Flip Mino as a Christmas present in Dec. '08 from [...]. It spontaneously stopped working about 4 months after purchase ([...] and [...] each offer only a 90 day warranty). Last week I finally contacted Flip support via email. They responded quickly with reset instructions, which didn't work. I called toll-free support number and was told to press and hold the power button for three seconds, release, and repeat for 8 times. Still dead. They apologized and told that it was beyond their warranty period and they couldn't do anything for me. $[...] wasted.
