Hoya 82mm Circular Polarizer Multi Coated Glass Filter

Light rays which are reflected by any surface become polarized and polarizing filters are used to select which light rays enter your camara lens. PL-CIR (Circular Polarizing) filters allow you to remove unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water, glass etc. They also enable colors to become more saturated and appear clearer, with better contrast. This effect is often used to increase the contrast and saturation in blue skies and white clouds. HOYA's polarising filters do not affect the overall color balance of a shot.

Pros & Cons :unfortunately, since it's made of two parts with one that swivels, trying to remove it from my lens caused the ring that holds the two pieces together to snap and break.
Difficult to remove
...It was almost impossible to turn ONLY the ring attached to the lens and not the outer one! Needless to say, I'm very disappointed that I can no longer use this filter since it was quite expensive. ... read more
