Gitzo presents two completely Series 2 tripods that bring advanced materials, Gitzo technology, performance and quality to Gitzo's aluminum tripod range. The innovative tripods follow a completely different approach to the weight issue of aluminum tripods. All other tripod manufacturers try to reduce the weight of their aluminum tripods by reducing the thickness of the aluminum tubes (0.8 - 1 mm). This leads to weak and unstable tripods. Gitzo instead maintains thicker 1.2 mm tubes for additional rigidity and strength, and reduces the weight of other components by employing new technologies. The result is an overall 30% weight reduction without compromising strength and stability.

| Feature: | GROUND LEVEL SET - This new feature allows you to remove the center column to saveweight and get the camera closer to the ground. RAPID COLUMN - The center column locking collar above the tripod shoulder makes it easier to adjust the column quickly - Series 1 and above are built with an anti-rotation grooved center column for improved stability. REVERSIBLE COLUMN - The rapid column can easily be inverted for an alternative shooting angle or low level macro work. ALR - Anti Leg Rotation system, which means the tripod can be opened in less than 15 seconds. Simply loosen all the twist locks on eachleg at the same time, then pull the leg down and tighten the locks individually. Castings are made of Soulid 238, Gitzo's unique technical compound which is 30% lighter than magnesium but just as strong and which has great vibration damping properties |
