Pros & Cons :you then just have to put a screwdriver or your fingernail into one of those notches and rotate the ring so it screws down into the filter, and this should stop the rattling.

Pros & Cons :i only had a telescope for a short period of time when i realized i really needed some filters (especially one for viewing the moon) and this has been a wonderful starter set for me.
