We purchased this case in preparation for our cruise. We took it to the local pool to learn the best settings & so forth. This is probably the best "add on" purchase we've ever made. We had so much fun with it. The pictures look great & so do the videos. Buttons are also still easy to use. The kids had such a good time dancing around underwater the event was dubbed "Weightless Wonderland" lol. Great buy...Easy to use & operate. Kids have dropped it in the pool and has hit the bottom several times and the case still seals just fine.

I bought this so we could take the digital camera that we already own on a cruise to the South Pacific. They recommended bringing a waterproof camera to take underwater pictures. We haven't gone on the cruise yet, so we haven't used the waterproof case yet. It looks like it would work!

This is one great case/camera. It's small and easy to use, so great for the casual photographer. You will get perfectly acceptable photos with this set up, and if you don't find anything worth shooting on your dive, it fits in your BC pocket. I use it with a pixtreme off camera flash. It's an inexpensive flash and works well with this. Remember, this is a snapshot camera, so no flash (no matter how expensive) will make it a professional grade camera. Once again, for what this type of camera is designed to do, this one does it very well. You will get very good photos without a lot of work (no need to spend your whole dive on pictures) I would get the camera set up before the dive and memorize where your basic setting buttons are for making minor adjustments (ISO mainly). I find that is the best way to tweek light adjustments on the fly. My flash came with some defusers, so I find it's easy to "keep it simple". Devote a few minutes at the begining of the dive and get your adjustments right and just shoot shoot shoot. The really great thing is that at the highest quality setting and a 2g card, you have over 600 shots. It does video pretty well too. You will not regret buying this set up unless you have an unrealistic expectation of this excellent snap shooter.
